[Mike] Well, if you get hurt at work, it’s your obligation to report it to your employer right away. You have to let them you’ve been hurt. And reporting doesn’t mean filling out a form. It means letting your supervisor know you’ve got an injury. The biggest problem is people get hurt at work and they don’t think it’s a big deal. Your opponent, the workers compensation insurance adjuster, is going to say you didn’t report it right away and say you made it up later. So, it’s in your best interest to report right way. Also, if you’re hurt at work, go see your own doctor. Some insurance companies give a form that says you will see their doctor. Don’t agree to that. You get to see your own doctor, and your doctor is going to know you and trust you. Your doctor has treated you and maintained a medical record. The insurance company doctors are hired by the insurance companies and they market themselves as being able to save the insurance company money.
